Chandragiri is a beautiful situated on southwestern part of Kathmandu valley. Situated 2600 m above the sea level Chandragiri offers a panoramic view of majestic Himalayan range. Mount Everest can be easily seen from this hill. An hour of drive from the city would take you to the foot of this hill. A lovely cable car ride of ten minutes will take you to the top of this hill. The temperature of the top is much colder than that of Kathmandu city so its a good idea to bring some warm clothes here. You can enjoy a lovely lunch on restaurants on the top of the hill with a wonderful view of the Himalayas, Kathmandu city and the hilly countryside. The temple of lord Shiva also called “Valeshor” is center of attraction here. This hill is always crowded by local and foreigners trying to escape the crowded city. This hill also has some historical importance. The unification campaign of Nepal was started as soon as King Prithivinarayan Shah saw the beautiful Kathmandu valley from here and dreamed to make this city as capital of his state.
A typical itinerary would be as per below
9:00 am: Meet your guide and driver at hotel. A short briefing and drive to Chandragiri.
10:00 am: Reach Chandragiri hills and enjoy photographs on the gardens on the lower station.
10:20 am Get cable carticket from your guide and board the cable car
10:10 am Reach upper station and enjoy the cool weather and the view
10:10 am to 12:00 noon Roam and relax around the hill
12:00 to 1 :00 pm lunch break 1:20 pm Start to drive back to hotel 2:30 pm Drop off at hotel

Mode of transport: Private AC vehicle, cable car and short hikes. (long hikes may be added as per your interest) The temperature difference between the city and top of the hill is almost 8 degree celcius so you are suggested to carry warm clothes.
